SUMMER DAY CAMPS

SPIRIT CAMP
Spirit Campers will gain self-confidence and positive choice making skills, explore new things and make lasting friendships in a supervised and fun setting. Activities include: crafts, group games, storytelling and field trips.

***Registration Deadline: Campers must be registered and paid by 3 PM on the Thursday prior to the week they will be attending.

**We will be closed 4th of July. Cost adjustment for short week #3 will be applied at time of registration.

*If your child is registered for additional YMCA programs during camp time, it will be up to a family member to check your child out of camp and to check your child back into camp for the duration of the program.

ADVENTURE CAMP
YMCA Adventure Camp provides youth with supervised activities that teach core values, conflict resolution and leadership skills. Kids have fun while building self-confidence, appreciating teamwork and gaining independence. Day camp activities allow kids to create arts and crafts, explore science, swim, participate in field trips and play a variety of games and sports. ***Registration Deadline: Campers must be registered and paid by 3 PM on the Thursday prior to the week they will be attending.

Spirit Campers and Adventure Campers will experience a summer of lasting memories through practicing the YMCA Core Values of Caring: Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility. Each camp will enjoy activities that are suited specifically to their age group.

 

WEEKLY SPIRIT AND ADVENTURE SUMMER CAMP THEMES
Week 1 6/19 – 6/23 Super Hero & Beyond

Grab your cape and mask and join us for a week dedicated to do-gooders! We will be celebrating ALL HEROES from comic book heroes to our real life heroes! Campers will bond while playing Super Hero challenge games

Week 2 6/26 – 6/30 Sports & More

Campers will have fun playing a variety of games while focusing on sportsmanship, teamwork and respect. Experienced counselors, who have a passion for sports, will lead the campers in a variety of activities.

Week 3 7/3 – 7/7, closed 7/4 Holiday Celebration

Christmas in July?! Halloween in the summer?! Come to camp and find out about all of our summer celebrations.

Week 4 7/10 – 7/14 Engineered 4 Fun

Explore your architectural and engineering potential along with your creativity through a variety of exciting STEAM based challenges. We have the blue print for summer camp success!

Week 5 7/17 – 7/21 Suesstastic

Oh the places you’ll go, all the friends you will meet, where fun never sleeps! Children will explore the beloved world of Dr. Seuss through books, games, movement, music, crafts and more!

Week 6 7/24 – 7/28 Star Wars

Campers will participate in missions designed to save their friends from the unexpected. Fly your Millennium Falcon down to camp and prepare to have an amazing time. Will you be ready to answer the call?

Week 7 7/31 – 8/4 Talent Scouts

Crank up the volume and hold on to your applause as we discover talents from within without ever leaving Walla Walla. Your limousine is waiting at the end of the red carpet. Don’t forget your autograph book!

Week 8 8/7 – 8/11 Water Splash

Summer just wouldn’t be complete without our ever so popular Wild Water Week!

Week 9 8/14 – 8/18 Olympics

Campers will create their own team flags, make their own medals and have a closing award ceremony. They will participate in a great mix of activities – inspired by actual Olympic events.

Week 10 8/21 – 8/25 Memory Making

If only Summer Camp would never end! Say goodbye to summer while playing your favorite games. Make your own mini scrapbook with pictures from your camp experience memories. End the week with a BBQ and carnival day fit for the whole family to enjoy with you.
