The Walla Walla YMCA is committed to a best practice, year-round approach to annual community support. Although the Annual Campaign is a year-round program, once a year, during a 4-week period, the Y makes a special effort to contact staff, volunteers, members, and community partners to help fund our mission. Each year the Y addresses ever changing community needs; thus raising charitable dollars makes timely, community specific mission impact possible.
With your support, the Annual Campaign provides assistance for those who need us most. By giving to the Annual Campaign you ensure that everyone, regardless of their circumstances or ability to pay, can benefit from the YMCAs value-centered programs.
Now more than ever, children and families need the Y’s innovative programs and services. Please join us as we are committed to strengthening our community through Youth Development, Health Living and Social Responsibility.

YMCA Annual Campaign “Help Us, Help Kids” Provides Youth Scholarships
March brings the people in the Walla Walla Valley the first signs of spring, baseball practice, and soccer and youth scholarships. The 35th YMCA Annual Campaign (previously the Youth Sustaining Campaign) kicks off March 1st to fund youth and family programs. The YMCA offers financial assistance so that every local child has access to vital programs and resources that support youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.
The YMCA is also excited to announce that Casey and Marissa Waddell are the co-chairs of the Annual Campaign. “It is a privilege for us to Chair this year’s Annual Campaign for the Walla Walla YMCA. We are proud members of the YMCA and have enjoyed participating in parent-child swim lessons with our 2-year-old son and are looking forward to soccer, t-ball and basketball as he grows up in this wonderful valley. We want more children in our community to have the opportunity to participate in the positive programs that we have been able to benefit from here at the Walla Walla YMCA.
In 2014 more than $159,000 in program and financial support made it possible for the Walla Walla YMCA to provide free swim lessons for 2nd graders from Dixie to the Stateline, provide preschool and camp scholarships, and provide memberships for children, youth and teens. The Annual Campaign goal for 2015 is $155,000.
“Financial gifts given through the Annual Campaign ensure that the YMCA is available for children and families who need us the most,” said Dondi Cortinas, Executive Director of the Walla Walla YMCA. “We are grateful for the generosity of our members and community who guarantee that our Y programs are available to all families in our community.
